    Job Title: HVAC Installer
    Reports To: Operations Manager
    Revision Date: 12/19/14
    Work Hours: 8:00-4:30 M-F
    *May be adjusted according to workload

    Position Overview

    Installs heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company standards/requirements and manufacturer specifications.

    Job Functions

    • Designs, fabricates, and installs various ducts and duct fittings as necessary
    • Performs limited diagnostics, as necessary
    • Performs start-ups on heating, cooling systems, and other components.
    • Responsible for the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete installation work
    • Maintain required levels of truck stock items
    • Review project daily with lead or Operations Manager, request tools, materials, or equipment needed for the next day by 2:00pm
    • Maintain a clean work area
    • Effectively communicates with customer regarding questions, concerns, and problems.
    • Must consider safety one’s primary job, both for personal, co-worker, and public benefit, and must have general knowledge of safe working practices
    • Maintain required levels of truck stock items
    • Advises Operations Manager at such time as the assigned project begins to fall behind the labor budget
    • Works with Operations Manager on ideas for reducing the cost and increasing efficiency of installations
    • Maintain good working order of company vehicle including refueling as necessary, reporting any mechanical issues, and filling out and submitting monthly vehicle inspection form. Vehicles should be washed on a regular basis.
    • Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.
    • Participate in company provided training opportunities on the latest industry technologies.
    • Identify and report to owner potential opportunities for additional business (newer system, service contracts, and additional services).

    Requirements

    • Good analytical skills and attention to detail with ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manuals.
    • Excellent customer service skills with desire to exceed customer expectations.
    • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time
    • Maintain professional appearance and at
    • titude at all times.

    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    • Valid social security number
    • Must be able to pass drug test(s) as required by company
    • Lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces.
    • Observe all company procedures and safety rules
    • Maintain accurate time records and send to payroll when required
    • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction

    Installs water piping, drain piping, fixtures, as well as accessories, in accordance with company standards/requirements and manufacturer specifications.

    Job Functions

    • Designs and installs various plumbing systems
    • Performs limited service calls as necessary
    • Performs start-ups on boilers and other components
    • Responsible for the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete installation work
